How It Works
Ballpark Bus is an online service that connects sports fans who are looking for a fun and easy way to get to the game. Simply select your game and book your seats. Your booking confirmation should be emailed to you soon after your purchase. Your name and number of seats purchased will be listed on your driver’s manifest. On the day of your game, show up to your restaurant prior to your departure time and check in with your driver before boarding.
Your booking confirmation should be emailed to you soon after your purchase. No further action is required once you receive this confirmation; just show up on game day and check in with your driver before boarding. You are responsible for ensuring the email confirmation accurately states the correct date, restaurant, and number of seats purchased. If you do not receive a booking confirmation email soon after your purchase, or if any information is incorrect, please email email@example.com and we will review the issue as soon as possible.
When you purchase seats, you agree that:
Your name and number of seats purchased will be listed on your driver’s manifest. Please check in with your driver prior to boarding. If possible, we ask that your entire group board together. Buses sell out frequently, so please be courteous to those who wish to sit with their group. There are no assigned seats on the bus.
All buses will depart promptly at their scheduled times. Ballpark Bus is not responsible for, and will not issue any refunds to passengers who fail to board prior to designated departure times to and from the stadium. NOTE: The same bus picks up from both Ashburn and Reston Town Center. Departure times from the Reston Town Center may vary slightly due to traffic.

Ballpark Bus does not own, operate, manage, or control the locations we use for picking up and dropping off passengers, and as such, parking is at your own risk. Any form of tailgating at the pick-up locations is strictly prohibited.

About the Buses
Transportation is provided by Chariots for Hire, an independent contractor. Vehicle size depends on the number of passengers who sign up for a particular trip. In most cases the bus size will be a 24 passenger bus, 33 passenger bus, or 55 passenger coach. WiFi and storage are available on all buses, but restrooms are only available on coaches.
Food & Beverages
Food and beverages are welcome on board as long as all items can remain within your personal space. Coolers must be small enough to fit in your lap or by your feet so as not to block the walkway. For trips to FedEx Field, storage for larger coolers and tailgating equipment is available. Passengers are free to leave coolers and other personal items on the bus during the game. Please dispose of any trash in a responsible manner. Ballpark Bus is not responsible for the food and beverages passengers choose to bring on board, nor for passenger behavior that may be deemed illegal.
DC’s Open Container Law
While legal in Virginia and Maryland, Washington, D.C. Code prohibits drinking or possessing open containers of alcoholic beverages in vehicles. Passengers who choose to bring alcoholic beverages on board do so at their own risk, and are advised to secure such beverages upon leaving Virginia or Maryland and entering The District. Ballpark Bus is not responsible for the food and beverages passengers choose to bring on board, nor for passenger behavior that may be deemed illegal. NOTE: DC’s law does not impact trips to FedEx Field in any way.
Tailgating at FedEx Field
FedEx Field’s Bus/RV Parking Lot offers a great tailgating atmosphere! Passengers are welcome to bring large coolers and tailgating equipment such as tables, chairs, music players and games. Charcoal grills are allowed, but gas grills are not permitted. Small personal coolers are welcome on board while riding, but all larger tailgating items must be packed in the bus storage areas. Ballpark Bus is not responsible for the food, beverages, and tailgating equipment passengers choose to bring, nor for passenger behavior that may be deemed illegal.

Departing from Nationals Park
Passengers will be dropped off and picked up along the corner of Potomac Avenue and 1st Street near the First Base Gate. The bus will depart 20 minutes after the game is over. Buses are not permitted to park near the stadium for pickup until the 7th Inning and beyond. Please call Chariots for Hire’s Dispatch at (703) 790-LIMO if you have trouble finding your bus after the game.
Extra Innings, Rain Delays, & Called Games
All buses will depart from Nationals Park 20 minutes after the game is over regardless of game length. Most games last about 3 hours, but extra innings or rain delays can dramatically increase a game’s length. In the event that a game is postponed due to weather, the bus will leave 20 minutes after the game has been called. Buses are not permitted to park near the stadium for pickup until the 7th Inning and beyond. In the event that a game is called prior to the 7th Inning, your bus may still be en route to the stadium when you exit Nationals Park.
Departing from FedEx Field
Buses will depart from FedEx Field 45 minutes after the game is over. Buses park in the Bus/RV Parking Lot, and will remain in the same spot for the duration of the trip. Please call Chariots for Hire’s Dispatch at (703) 790-LIMO if you have trouble finding your bus after the game.
Chariots for Hire’s Dispatch
In the event that you need assistance during your trip, you may call Chariots for Hire’s 24/7 Dispatch Line at (703) 790-LIMO. This number is for assistance during your trip only. Please let the dispatcher know that you’re on the Ballpark Bus and specify from which location you departed. If you are having difficulty finding your bus after your game, dispatch will notify your driver and assist in anyway they can. Dispatch will not delay departures to your game from your restaurant except at Ballpark Bus and Chariots for Hire’s sole and absolute discretion. Cancellation and refund requests can be made by emailing email@example.com. Refunds will be provided only if you cancel at least one week prior to your bus trip.
If a bus trip is canceled due to weather, game cancellation, or other reasons beyond our control, passengers will receive a rain check credit for each seat booked that may be applied to another scheduled bus trip.
We will notify you of cancellations via email as soon as possible. We keep passengers informed through the email address they provide when booking their seats. It is the responsibility of whoever receives this email to notify everyone in their party.
